We are Open Year Round

Our Programs

Toddler Program

Our full day toddler program operates year-round from 7:30am – 5:00pm. We welcome toddlers beginning at age 18 months.  We provide our youngest students with a language rich, responsive, and nurturing environment. Our toddlers enjoy creating with art materials, reading stories, singing songs, exploring sensory materials, and playing outside daily. The ratio for this classroom is 1 adult for every 6 children with a maximum group size of 12 children. We provide extra support for this classroom whenever possible.

Preschool PRogram

Full Day – year-round or academic year 7:30am – 5:00pm

Half Day – academic year 8:30am-12:30pm (2, 3, or 5-day options)

Our preschoolers enjoy daily activities that provide challenges as we build upon their acquired skills, and meet each child’s individual needs. Our play-based curriculum is guided by the RI Early Learning and Development Standards and involves engaging activities that represent all 9 learning domains. Children have an opportunity to practice social skills through a balanced day consisting of small and large group activities, as well as indoor and outdoor play experiences. We enjoy activities related to literacy, music, art, math, science, motor skills, and more!  We use the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum throughout each week, which supports literacy skills for young children. The preschool children also enjoy daily show and tell where they are able to practice their receptive and expressive language skills.

Throughout each year our program focuses on seasonal hands-on early learning experiences such as monthly baking, science experiments, and making scented playdough/slimes. In the fall we explore apples and pumpkins and enjoy a family meet up at a local farm. During the holidays we enjoy a Friendsgiving celebration, a holiday cookie decorating night, as well as a walking field trip to the holiday display next door. Every February we have a fun family dance! In the spring we participate in Project Chick through Casey Farm where we incubate and hatch chickens. We end our school year with a butterfly project that allows children to experience the magic of hatching our own butterflies and releasing them.

The maximum group size for our preschool classrooms is 15 children with two teachers. Children who will be moving on to kindergarten will participate in a preschool graduation in June.

How does the waitlist work?

We first prioritize spaces for staff children, siblings of currently enrolled children, and siblings of former students.

Families may sign up for our waitlist through our website or Facebook page. Once the waitlist form is submitted, we will invoice the $25 nonrefundable waitlist fee through Brightwheel and the family will be officially enrolled on our waitlist.  At enrollment the waitlist fee will be applied to our registration fee.

Any open available spaces (days available and start dates) will be communicated to the entire waiting list for that age group via email. This system gives all waiting families an equal opportunity to secure a space in our program. This also reduces the time we spend on our outreach and waiting for responses from families who are not ready to enroll just yet, or who need different days of care.

If interested in the available space please schedule a tour, complete all paperwork, and submit registration fees and deposits.  The space will be secured for the first family who completes the entire enrollment process.
